REMEMBRANCE DAY- TOGETHER WE REMEMBER

REMEMBRANCE DAY- TOGETHER WE REMEMBER

See the latest update on hate crime locally—we’re aware and taking action.

Today, South Norwood SNT, Norbury SNT and Crystal Palace SNT came together to commemorate Remembrance Day, standing united in honour, respect and gratitude for all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the service of our country.

Remembrance Day is a time for us to pause, reflect and remember the brave men and women from our Armed Forces and all those who gave their lives to protect our freedom, peace and future. Their courage, dedication and selflessness will never be forgotten. We also remember the families who have endured loss and the generations who continue to carry their memories forward.

It was particularly meaningful to see our three Safer Neighbourhood Teams come together, demonstrating not only our shared commitment to remembering those who served, but also the importance of unity, partnership and community spirit.

As Safer Neighbourhood Teams, we are proud to serve our local communities, build relationships and work together to make our neighbourhoods safer and stronger. Moments like these remind us that remembrance, respect and togetherness are values that connect us all.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us, paid their respects and helped make this occasion so special. Your presence and support mean a great deal.

We will remember them.

🌺 Lest We Forget. 🌺

Hatred and violence have no place in our city.

When someone is assaulted or abused due to their race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or whether they are transgender, then a hate crime may have occurred, and you should report this to the police.

We are committed to a Met that is completely anti-discriminatory and treats all Londoners fairly – policing without fear or favour.

We have recently announced the launch of our brand-new Community Protection Teams, bringing together neighbourhood, specialist and counter terrorism officers together to tackle hate in all of its forms.

More details of what counts as a hate crime or incident can be found on our website, as well as tool to report hate crime specifically, including if it was online.

Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

We want your help to shape the future of policing across London. We are seeking your views on our new inclusion strategy to ensure that the Met is a police service that is trusted, representative and more effective at keeping London safe. You can have your say on our Inclusion Strategy consultation which runs until Thursday 26 November.
